As a part of our 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' inquiry, Room 5 and the Senior Team visited the Foxton Surf Life Saving Club today. Surf lifeguards spent the day with us so that we could learn all aspects of beach safety. This included a lesson on identifying beach dangers, a close up look at IRBs (inflatable rescue boats) and other rescue equipment, and a swim in the surf. We even had time for some fun beach games and some creative beach art!
That is really cool guys.
