Our inquiry into the ancient Egyptian civilisation is well underway. We have learned how life was influenced by the geographical features of the country - particularly the desert and Nile River. Using keywords to note-take and note-make, we conducted research to produce an informative piece of writing and factfiles on a range of topics. We also learned to write our name in hieroglyphics. Did you know that hieroglyphics were not fully understood until the Rosetta Stone was discovered in 1799, and decoded over the next 30 years? Here are samples of some of our work:

You are doing some great work in your Inquiry Room 5. I used to love learning about Ancient Egypt and how the people lived so many years ago. Well done to Beth, Jack, Sophie and Jade - your work looks fantastic.
