Did you know that the ancient Egyptians were the first people to invent and use a written language, around 5000 years ago? They made paper called papyrus, and wrote on it using symbols called hieroglyphics. There are around 1000 glyphs! No-one could understand this mysterious writing until Napoleon discovered the Rosetta Stone in 1799. This allowed experts to understand hieroglyphics. We researched hieroglyphics and created our own names on a woven background.
