Maori Print Art

Room 5 created these Maori art design works using the printing process. We studied examples of Maori art design and created our own patterns which we carved into foam meat trays. These were used as a printing block. Using printing ink and rollers, we then created two prints: one of white ink on back paper and another of coloured ink on white paper. Another image was created using our original draft design which we coloured with pencils. The 3 images were then arranged and displayed on coloured card. We hope you like them as much as we do!
