Buddy Class - Seega Games

During Room 5's inquiry into the ancient Egyptian civilisation, we learned about a cool game played by the Egyptians in their spare time called Seega. It is a simple game but does require some tricky problem solving tactics! We decided to introduce this to our Room 2 Buddy Class. We made some game boards together and then enjoyed several games.

How to play: Each player has 3 counters which are lined up on the 3 spaces closest to their edge of the board. Players take turns moving one counter at a time into a space (use paper, scissors, rock to see who goes first). You can move in any direction including diagonally. The aim is to form a line of 3 counters. A diagonal line counts, but forming a line where you started off does not.

We wondered how the game could be modified by increasing the number of squares on the board and the number of counters for each player. Try this out!
Green wins!
